6th Grade Cross Country!
6th Grade Cross Country…oh ya baby! For the first time in Waconia XC Team history we are offering Cross Country to 6th Grade students of Waconia! This is a great opportunity for all 6th graders through the partnership of Community Education. This is a pilot program for 2024 -25 and the little sibling to the Waconia 7-12 XC program. Meaning the philosophies are nearly identical. We are welcoming to ALL ability levels and athletic backgrounds as we strive to push every kid, every day, based on their needs. Each workout will have two tiers to choose from: Tier 1 (Beginner) and Tier 2 (Looking for more). Note, the 7-12 program does have a Tier 3 (Advanced) but 6th grade cross country is intended to be more introductory, yet challenging when needed. Cost: $185 - Registration Deadline: Aug. 13th

#1 - 6th Grade will practice daily after school Monday - Thursdays (Fridays Off)
#2 - Daily Attendance by our 6th grade athletes is STRONGLY encouraged, but there will be NO attendance policy regarding participation…we want this to be a fun & stress free opportunity for our 6th grade athletes & Families. (Coaches do track/record attendance for safety & accountability)
#3 - First Practice for 6th Grade = Tuesday, August 27th
#4 - Athletes will meet Mrs. Lesher (6th Grade Coach) on practice days on the west side of Middle School by the tetherball poles/7th Grade House entrance.
#5 - Post Practice Athlete Pick up is at the Middle School 5pm
